Internet Explorer 11 EOL Notice

September 10th, 2021

Edgecast Streaming platform is continuously performing product reviews and security audits. In the latest review, we've determined that it is no longer feasible to maintain security and effectively support Internet Explorer 11 (IE11) for the Streaming platform. This has led us to officially end of life (EOL) support of IE11 with respect to Streaming services. Please read the details below carefully.

1. The reason why we are officially ending support?

Many companies are officially deprecating support for Internet Explorer 11 and as new security issues/bugs surface the browser developer has stated they will be ending support and may not patch or correct the issues.

2. Timelines

Support will officially end on September 30, 2021.

3. What happens after September 30, 2021?

We are not making any changes to the platform to block or prevent Internet Explorer 11 browser users from using our services.

4. Are we planning to deprecate support for any other browsers as part of this?

No.

5. What action/s do I need to take?

None. Edgecast Streaming Support recommends that customers actively plan for the eventual end of life/support of Internet Explorer 11 from the manufacturer/developer and ensure security of their software.

6. Will there be any impact to my traffic?

There is no planned or expected impact to your traffic.

7. Do I need to change or update my sales contract?

No.
