MP4 Exports

The MP4 Export feature lets you generate downloadable MP4 files from specific renditions (rays) of your content. This is useful for sharing, quality review, or downstream workflows that require MP4 format. You can also download TTML captions and other supported files for each exported rendition.

Use Cases

• Content Distribution: Share a single rendition of a live capture without exposing the full stream.
• Quality Review: Let QA teams or clients inspect video quality at different resolutions.
• Sidecar Files: Include TTML or other caption files alongside video downloads for localization or compliance.

How to Export an MP4

1. Navigate to the desired asset.
2. Select the Export tab.
3. If no exports exist yet, select + Export and choose the desired rendition to generate an MP4 file from your available options.
4. Download the MP4 and supporting files.
   Each rendition displays:
   • Resolution, Frame Rate, Bitrate (e.g., 1280x720 · 30fps · 2.60Mbps)
   • MP4 Download URL and a Download MP4 button
   • Sidecar files, if available.
5. Select the copy icon next to any link to copy it for use in email, documentation, or downstream tools.

Managing Exports

• To delete an export, select the 🗑️ icon in the top right of the export panel.
• Exported files are retained and publicly accessible unless manually removed.

Attention

• MP4s are publicly available at the listed URL and do not expire.
• Additional charges apply per download at your normal hourly playback rate.
• DRM-enabled assets cannot be exported.
